The Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru 2017 from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is a wine of remarkable elegance, sourced from one of the greatest terroirs of Vosne-Romanée. The 2017 vintage produces a highly refined Pinot Noir, combining depth, freshness and aromatic precision.

The nose reveals a particularly refined bouquet of cherry, raspberry and small red berries, complemented by delicate floral notes, subtle spices, liquorice and hints of forest floor. With aeration, the bouquet gradually gains in complexity and depth while retaining remarkable freshness.

On the palate, the wine is silky, elegant and perfectly balanced. The texture is precise and refined, supported by fine, perfectly integrated tannins. The fruit is vibrant and expressive, accompanied by spicy and subtly mineral nuances. The freshness provides beautiful length, leading into a long, delicate and persistent finish.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, often referred to as DRC, is one of the most prestigious and sought-after wine estates in Burgundy. Based in Vosne-Romanée, it boasts an exceptional wine heritage made up of legendary Grands Crus, including Romanée-Conti, La Tâche, Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Grands-Échezeaux, Échezeaux and Montrachet.

Romanée-Saint-Vivant is one of the great terroirs of Vosne-Romanée. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti cultivates approximately 5.29 hectares here, making this one of the estate’s most significant vineyard holdings. Located in the immediate vicinity of Romanée-Conti, this climat is particularly renowned for producing elegant, aromatic and highly refined Pinot Noir.

The 2017 vintage benefited from generally very favourable conditions. After a relatively mild winter and a spring marked by a frost episode, the growing season continued under warm and dry conditions. The harvest produced perfectly ripe and healthy grapes, resulting in wines of remarkable precision, freshness and elegance.

The philosophy of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is based on a constant pursuit of purity, precision and terroir expression. The grapes are handled with the utmost care and precision in order to preserve their identity and reveal the full subtlety of each climat.
