Discover Yamazakura Blended, an elegant and harmonious Japanese whisky crafted by Sasanokawa Shuzo, a distillery renowned for its expertise since 1765. This blend of malt and grain whiskies, matured in bourbon casks, charms with its smoothness and balance. The nose reveals delicate floral notes, malt and caramel, while the palate unfolds flavours of pear, vanilla, citrus and cereals. Its silky texture and soft, lingering finish make it a refined yet approachable whisky, best enjoyed neat, over ice or in a cocktail.

The Distillery – Sasanokawa Shuzo, Japan
Founded in 1765 in Koriyama, in Fukushima Prefecture, Sasanokawa Shuzo has been preserving and developing its traditional craftsmanship in Japanese spirits for more than 260 years. Historically renowned for its sake, the house ventured into whisky production in 1946, becoming one of the pioneers of this tradition in the Tohoku region.

Driven by a deep respect for tradition and a desire to share the richness of Japanese whisky, the house developed the Yamazakura brand, whose name combines the Japanese words yama (“mountain”) and sakura (“cherry blossom”). In 2016, whisky production resumed at the Asaka Distillery, housed in a renovated traditional warehouse, breathing new life into this family heritage.

The climate of Fukushima, the expertise of its master distillers and the meticulous art of blending all contribute to shaping the distinctive identity of its whiskies, where finesse, balance and character come together. An authentic Japanese house where centuries-old heritage meets the art of whisky-making.
