Situated in the heart of the Côtes du Jura AOC, this “garden of vines” covers almost 24 hectares in a single block and is ideally south-facing. Sheltered from the north winds by the château, it benefits from a terroir suited to the local grape varieties: at the top, limestone scree for the Pinot Noir and Trousseau, then marl slopes better suited to the Poulsard, Chardonnay and Savagnin.
Château d’Arlay owes its reputation to traditional winemaking and long maturation in barrel, offering a fresh style with amazing ageing potential. As a result, it is regarded as a Grand Cru of the Jura and of French wines.
