He has revolutionized Sauvignon Blanc production in the Loire, taking it to a new level of excellence. He has adopted innovative practices, such as very low yields to maximize grape concentration, the subtle use of oak barrels to add complexity without masking the fruit, and viticulture that respects the terroir. Thanks to his relentless quest for perfection and his respect for flint-rich soils, he was able to express a unique purity and minerality in his wines, making Sauvignon Blanc a noble grape variety sought after worldwide.
After his death in 2008, his children took over, carrying on his legacy by combining modernity with respect for tradition.
