Appia Antica 400 – Lazio – 2022

A blend of Semillon and Malvasia Puntinata, Appia Antica 400 Bianco is an elegant, delicate wine made from a meticulous, precise selection of the best grapes planted on the edge of the famous street that frames the capital. The project to make the most of these vineyards was the brainchild of the Antinori sisters who, with tenacity, rigour and family know-how, decided to restore prestige to a land as ancient as it is appropriate. The Malvasia Puntinata, with its low yields and critical fragility, has been re-evaluated here thanks to a sustainable quality approach, while the Semillon, which has found its preferred terroir in this volcanic soil, adds an elegant, personal touch.
