The legendary house of Vega Sicilia sought to perpetuate the tradition by creating a unique red wine, without a specific cru, from the Castile-León region.

Legend has it that in Spain, cellars with bottling processes made two types of wine from the same harvest year: one wine from the current year and a second, non-vintage wine called “Reserva Especial”. By blending the best vintages, the cellars created a wine that represented the essence of their house.
