Prunotto – Langhe Nebbiolo Occhetti – 2022

Wines belonging to the Antinori family. Nebbiolo is the highest quality red grape variety in Piedmont. Nebbiolo wines are characterised by strong tannins, high acidity and a distinctive nose. This ‘Occhetti’ cuvée is the equivalent of what we call a ‘Grand Cru Classé’ in Bordeaux. In a way, it’s also Barolo’s ‘little brother’. The colour is dark, inky with violet highlights. The nose is delicate. The palate is suave and racy, with a silky texture and well-coated tannins. A fruity finish with a hint of spice.
