The rich, fruity and spicy nose of this Côtes du Rhône is characterized by notes of raspberry and strawberry. The round and delicate palate reveals aromas of blackcurrant, liquorice and pepper. An intense, generous and very expressive wine.
This Côtes du Rhône, star of the appellation, takes its name from the 45th parallel north which passes two kilometers south of the cellars of Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné. In the village of Pont de l’Isère, a monument symbolizes this line with an inscription: “here begins the south”. This wine has had this name since the early 1950’s.
