This Côtes du Rhône, star of the appellation, takes its name from the 45th parallel north, which passes two kilometers south of the cellars of Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné. In the village of Pont de l’Isère, a monument symbolizes this line with the inscription: “Here begins the south”. This wine has borne this name since the early 1950s.
Since 1834, vintage after vintage, the Jaboulet family has brought incomparable expertise to the vinification and ageing of Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné wines. Six generations of cellar managers have succeeded one another, carefully recording the secrets of each vintage.
Today, Caroline Frey continues this tradition, striving to reveal the quintessence of our wines throughout their development.
She also embodies our estates’ commitment to organic viticulture and respect for natural balances. The result is a lively, harmonious wine that expresses the purity of the fruit.
