In the heart of the appellation, century-old vines, aged between 50 and 100 years, give birth to an exceptional wine, produced by slow vinification. This cuvée de garde is distinguished by its long, persistent finish. Powerful and typical, it can be enjoyed young, provided it is aerated several hours in advance or decanted. However, it will reveal its full potential after 3 to 4 years in bottle, and can be cellared for 10 to 15 years. You’ll be amazed at how well this wine ages while retaining its unique character. Ideal for drinking between 15°C and 18°C.

This emblematic cuvée of the Saumur Champigny appellation is more versatile than you might think. Beef, lamb, capon and game, not to mention grilled fish… will be in good company!
