The site: a south-facing hillside at the southernmost point of the Côte de Beaune terroir, close to Santenay, Rully and Mercurey.
The hillsides do not follow the Côte de Beaune alignment, but they share its origins and geological nature. The vineyards lie between 240 and 400 meters above sea level.
History & tradition: Pinot Noir has been planted here since the dawn of time, but the appellation is a recent one, covering three villages: Cheilly, Dezize and Champigny.
Soil: clay-limestone
