Planted on a hillside, the Estibals parcel gave birth to this red, shaped by Syrah (60%). The colour is deep and the nose powerful, evoking fresh red and black fruit, leather, spices and a refreshing hint of vegetation. On the palate, the sun wins out: ample, generous, suave, bursting with the heady flavours of ripe fruit, supported by melting tannins, the palate stretches the fruit out for a very long time. A sensual Minervois, proudly Languedoc (2020-2025).

Description

“Jean-Michel Cazes, owner of Ch. Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, bought 150 hectares of land at the foot of the Montagne Noire in 2002. The vineyard was restructured and a former tile factory converted into a cellar. Today, the 62 hectares are partly located on the prestigious La Livinière terroir and form the Ostal Cazes, an Occitan term meaning both family and house.

Ostal Cazes-Estibals is the fruit of all the estate’s plots in the Minervois appellation. It takes its name from a beautiful plot on the estate: “Les Estibals”. While perfectly reflecting the balance between the different grape varieties in the appellation, its roundness and fruitiness make it a delicious wine that expresses all the flavours of this sun-drenched region.
