James Suckling : 94/100
Grand Cru Classé AOC Pauillac en 1855, Château Lynch-Moussas covers 62 hectares of land in the Pauillac and Haut-Médoc appellations.
The elegance of Pauillac
Grand Cru Classé de Pauillac, composed of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot. This wine presents aromas of ripe black fruit, supported by solid tannins. The whole is balanced by just the right amount of freshness and a long finish. It can be enjoyed now if decanted, but also has great ageing potential.
The vines, planted on beautiful Günz gravel hilltops composed of pebbles and gravel cemented by clayey sands, are treated with the greatest care to allow them to express all the richness of their terroir. The Château Lynch-Moussas vineyard, composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon (75%) and Merlot (25%), is contiguous to a certain number of other Grands Crus Classés, in particular parcels belonging to Châteaux Latour, Lynch-Bages, Pichon-Longueville Baron, Grand-Puy-Lacoste and of course Batailley, which shows the quality of the soil and its production.
Cabernet-Sauvignon 83%
Merlot 17%
