Château Les Grands Chênes van Bernard Magrez, die ook eigenaar is van Château Pape Clément, is een wijn die uitmuntendheid en expertise uit de Médoc belichaamt.
Aroma’s van geplette zwarte bes, gecombineerd met delicate nuances van braam, viooltjes en een vleugje zoethout. De wijn rijpte 18 maanden in vaten en is krachtig en karaktervol. Perfect bij gestoofde en winterse gerechten.

Description

Colour : Very dark ruby

Nose: The nose is aromatic. It reveals notes of blackberry, flowers (violet, peony) and slight notes of crushed blackcurrant associated with fine hints of liquorice and chocolate.

Palate: On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackcurrant, fleshy strawberry and slight notes of small fleshy/crushed red berries associated with fine touches of blackberry, violet as well as slight hints of liquorice.

Dark garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Grands Chênes opens with scents of creme de cassis, baked cherries, herbs and earth with hints of tilled soil. The palate is full-bodied, firm and grainy with muscular fruit and a long finish.
