Located in the heart of the AOC Côtes du Jura, this “garden of vines” of nearly 24 hectares in one piece is ideally exposed due south. Sheltered from the north winds by the castle, it benefits from a terroir adapted to the local grape varieties: at the top, the limestone scree for the Pinot Noir and Trousseau, then the marly slopes better suited for the Poulsard, Chardonnay and Savagnin.
The Château d’Arlay owes its fame to traditional vinification and long aging in barrels, offering a style imbued with freshness, coupled with an astonishing aging potential. This is why it is considered a grand cru of the Jura and of the wines of France.
