The vineyard of Château Alverne (3.6ha) is divided between the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion and the clay-sandy southern part of Graves.
Château Alverne is thus fully representative of the Saint Emilion Grand Cru appellation terroir.
It is made up of three grape varieties: Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (3%).
The average age of the vines is 20 years. This makes it possible to combine strength and structure with elegance and fruit. This complex combination is the meaning of our search for excellence.
All of the viticultural work (pruning, etc.), carried out in a reasoned approach, aims to obtain optimal maturity of the grapes while respecting the terroir and the vintage.
The quest for this optimal phenolic maturity is the basis of the work in the vineyard. Finally, the harvest and the sorting are rigorously carried out by hand.
