Description

The Palacios Remondo family (also known as “Herencia Remondo”) has a winegrowing history going back four generations. It was José Palacios Remondo who had the greatest influence on the development of the bodega. As a visionary, he sent his sons to study at the best French wine schools, and instilled in them a strong vocation. Meanwhile, he worked hard to select the best vines in Rioja, while respecting the region’s winemaking traditions. With 100 ha at the foot of the Yerga mountains, the grapes grown are the result of rigorous selection. Very little mechanization is used, allowing the grapes to be treated with the utmost respect during transfer. In 2000, Alvaro Palacios took over the estate, reinforcing his determination to create unique, high-quality wines. The estate has been rewarded by top critics (Robert Parker, Wine Spectator) for years, and its wines enjoy worldwide success.
