Tenuta Guado al Tasso covers 1,000 hectares, including 320 hectares of vines, nestled in an exceptional terroir. The vineyards are planted on clay-loam and fine gravel soils known as “scheletro” or “Bolgheri agglomerate”, offering ideal conditions for vine-growing. Situated in the spectacular “Bolgheri amphitheatre”, the Tenuta is surrounded by rolling hills, bordered by fields of olive trees and sunflowers, creating a breathtaking landscape.
Throughout the year, the estate enjoys a mild, temperate climate thanks to the maritime influence of the Tyrrhenian Sea, which moderates temperatures and favors optimal ripening of the grapes. This unique terroir and favorable climate combine to produce wines of remarkable quality, true to the expression of the place.
The first vintage of Guado al Tasso was produced in 1990. Named in honor of the many badgers (“tasso” in Italian) that inhabit the estate, this DOC Bolgheri Superiore wine symbolizes the intimate relationship between nature and the estate.
