Tasting by Serge Dubs, World’s Best Sommelier 1989:
This Gewurztraminer has a pleasant bouquet, dominated by floral aromas of fresh rose, jasmine, reseda, lily, frésia, primrose, passion fruit and mango, pear.
The palate is a delight of aromas and generosity, yet tender, suave, a touch flattering and charming, almost dry, with an elegant, clear, thirst-quenching finish.
A wine that can be enjoyed immediately as a young wine, where the qualities of the grape variety come through clearly and unmistakably.
Ideal as an aperitif or anytime you want to share a good time with friends. Serve at 8°.
With cheeses such as Munster, Bleu d’Auvergne, Stilton, matured ewe’s milk, as well as tasty, slightly spicy Chinese, Moroccan and Indian dishes, desserts and fruit cakes.
