Champagne Louis Roederer Brut Vintage 2015 1,5L Magnum

A 2015 Vintage that expresses the intensity and great concentration “au naturel” of Verzy’s Pinot Noirs in a spectacularly continental vintage.

Intense Pinot noir bouquet combining tart red fruit (redcurrant) and juicy, sun-drenched yellow fruit (mirabelle plum, vine peach). On aeration, the traditional aromas of “La Montagne” Pinot noir emerge: dried, smoky fruit, combined with a hint of acidity and spice (white pepper). Dynamic, concentrated and powerful on the palate. Fleshy, vinous texture, with an acidic presence that clearly integrates concentrated juice and freshness. The structure is tonic, chiselled, almost classic and firm. The fruitiness gradually gives way to the sweetness of chocolate notes (cocoa bean) and even a slight roasting. The finish reveals concentrated, roasted and candied fruit, supported by saline, salivating flavors. The final sensation is beautifully unbound, generous and graceful.

Vendange extraordinaire qui est aussi l’année de la reconnaissance de la Champagne au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. 2015 s’inscrit parfaitement dans la tendance continentale de la décennie : hiver doux et humide et été chaud et sec ! L’été, chaud et ensoleillé, restera marqué par des records de chaleur et de sécheresse… Et par cette heureuse finale estivale où la vigne fut soulagée par la pluie salvatrice de la deuxième partie du mois d’août. La maturation, grâce à cette finale sous le signe de la fraîcheur, donnera naissance à des raisins juteux, mûrs et concentrés !
