Paul Jaboulet Aîné’s Crozes-Hermitage “Domaine de Thalabert” Rouge is an iconic wine from the Northern Rhône Valley, renowned for its richness, balance and ageing potential. Owned by the estate since 1834, Domaine de Thalabert is the oldest vineyard in the appellation. It is situated on the Rhône’s lower terraces, where the stony soils of glacial origin are composed of small rounded pebbles that release the heat accumulated during the day throughout the night.

Made from 100% Syrah, this wine reveals an intense nose of black fruits, violets, black olives and spices, complemented by subtle hints of leather and smoke. On the palate, it is full-bodied, structured and deep, with silky tannins and a persistent finish marked by mineral notes.

A true reflection of its terroir, this distinctive wine pairs beautifully with red meats, game and slow-cooked dishes. Its excellent ageing potential also makes it a fine choice for the cellar.

Founded in 1834 on Hermitage Hill in Tain-l’Hermitage, the renowned wine house Paul Jaboulet Aîné safeguards an exceptional winemaking heritage, bringing together some of the most celebrated terroirs of the Northern Rhône Valley. Today, it oversees 105 hectares of vineyards stretching from Cornas to Côte-Rôtie, at the heart of the Northern Rhône’s most prestigious appellations.
