An elegant and characterful Saint-Émilion, where vibrant fruit meets the finesse of the terroir!

As the second wine of the prestigious Château La Gaffelière, Clos La Gaffelière charms with its harmonious balance of fruit, depth and refinement. Its intense ruby-red colour reveals a generous bouquet of ripe cherries and blackberries, complemented by delicate notes of liquorice, chocolate and spices. On the palate, it opens smoothly, with velvety tannins and a full-bodied texture, supported by beautiful freshness and an elegant mineral touch. The harmonious, lingering finish leaves a lasting impression of finesse and sophistication.

An appealing and versatile red Bordeaux, ideal for pairing with red meats, game dishes and mature cheeses.

Ageing

12 months, with 50% in oak barrels and 50% in vats.

The Estate – Château La Gaffelière

In the heart of Saint-Émilion, at the southern entrance to the village and nestled between the prestigious vineyards of Château Pavie and Château Ausone, Château La Gaffelière boasts a centuries-old winemaking heritage. Owned by the de Malet Roquefort family for more than three centuries, this iconic estate places particular emphasis on expressing the character of its terroir and crafting wines of great precision.

Sourced from hillside and lower-slope vineyards with clay-rich soils, Clos La Gaffelière is the estate’s second wine. It benefits from meticulous vineyard management, precise winemaking and an ageing process that combines oak barrels and vats, preserving the vibrancy of the fruit while adding structure and complexity.

A cuvée that remains faithful to the estate’s philosophy, elegantly expressing the character of Saint-Émilion in an approachable, generous and refined style.
