Ramos Pinto Port Wines are made in the Quinta do Bom Retiro winemaking center, and for the special category wines (LBV and Vintage) the grapes are still crushed in traditional presses – lagares -, because this ancestral technique allows a more efficient and less violent extraction. Once the first stages of winemaking have been completed, the wines are transferred to the historic cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia, where they complete their long aging process.
