Late release of Château Cantenac Brown, which means that the wine has never left the Château since its bottling and has therefore had an optimal aging without ever moving for 15 years. For this 2006 vintage, only 30% of first wine was produced, reflecting a new regime of greater precision in harvesting and sorting. After 30 minutes of aeration, it releases rich notes of pencil lead and licorice, softened by blackberries and smoky spices and vanilla. The acidity is quite high and emphasizes the floral, with refined tannins and an onset of tertiary character. The finish emphasizes savory tannins with a hit of juicy mint leaf that shows it still has time to go. A very great wine to discover.
