This white from Mas de Daumas Gassac is a meticulous blend of Viognier, Petit Manseng, Chardonnay and Chenin, plus 11% from other grape varieties. The result of this unique melting-pot is a white that is dazzlingly pure and fresh when young, with a lightly woody nose and notes of yellow fruit, musk and menthol. After a few years in the cellar, its oxidative flavours make it resemble a Jerez or an old Sauternes. A great Languedoc white!
A rainy and rather cool spring. A very sunny summer, no real storm since the beginning of June, combined with very hot weather during the last week of August and the first week of September.
