Tasting by Serge Dubs, Best Sommelier of the World 1989:
2010, an exceptional vintage in Alsace, spoils us particularly and gives me the pleasure of commenting on a marvelous SGN Riesling.
The color is shimmering, silky, dense, intense, straw yellow, daffodil, fresh lemon yellow, some pistachio green reflections, with a shine of pure crystal. We clearly perceive the richness in remaining natural sugar that comes from overripe and botrytised grapes.
The dress is very youthful and lively.
The bouquet of freshness and liveliness, racy, fragrant, aromatic, fruity highlights this unique grape variety that is Riesling.
Fresh lemon, lemon balm, citron, lemongrass, pink grapefruit, rhubarb, peach, mirabelle plum, ginger, flower honey. In addition, a touch of subtle minerality.
Sweet wine with a joyful sweetness in harmony with the beautiful acidity, which is the signature of Riesling which, while being soft and velvety, leaves a feeling of liveliness that makes you want to savor it. The end of the mouth is an aromatic concentrate of great finesse.
Wine to drink as it is even if it is too young at 6° will be at its peak between 10 and 25 years.
Recommended with fruit pies (lemon), rhubarb, currant, pineapple, almonds, or foie gras terrine or pan-fried with apples. Fresh fruit salad or just for himself to share between lovers of great sweet wines.
AVAILABLE WITHIN THREE WEEKS.
